Marie Osmond Says Older Brother Tom Is ‘A Miracle’ After Undergoing Heart Surgery (Exclusive)
Singer Marie Osmond is just happy that her brother Tom Osmond is alive! The 71-year-old, who’s hearing impaired, recently underwent quadruple bi-pass heart surgery, and although his health has greatly concerned his family, Marie said that she only wishes the best for her brother.
“He’s a miracle,” Marie shared to Closer Weekly in a recent interview, and said that she’s grateful that the original Osmond brothers could reunite for her Hawaii birthday concert on Saturday, Oct. 13. “We’re not getting any younger! So to honor my brothers for being the original four Osmonds, and to spend time with my oldest brothers [Virl, 73, and Tom] who were born deaf [makes me happy],” she said.
“I’m so proud of them. They were the first two deaf missionaries for our church. They’re incredible guys,” she continued. When news spread that Tom had undergone a very “massive” surgery, Donny took to Instagram to share just how much his brother means to him.
“As you may know, my brother Tom underwent quadruple bypass surgery on Saturday. He is on life support right now and fighting to hang on. It’s been an emotional and challenging few days for all of us, so I hope you’ll understand the radio silence from my end,” he wrote. “We don’t know what the future holds for Tom, but it’s in the Lord’s hands now. The whole Osmond family would appreciate your thoughts and prayers on behalf of my sweet brother.”
Marie also paid tribute to her ailing brother online. She said, “Despite his physical challenges, my second eldest brother always strives to remain upbeat.” And added, “Tom is so full of life and love! I’ve always seen his enthusiasm through his Christ-like 💖 and he definitely shines L❤️VE trough his eye’s.” Get well soon, Tom!
