Get well soon, Mariah Carey! The music sensation announced on Tuesday, Nov. 15 via Twitter that she has sadly canceled her first few Christmas tour shows due to a respiratory infection.

“Lambs! Just in time for the holiday gift-giving season, it seems I’ve received a present of my own; a lovely upper respiratory infection after last week’s flu. Bleak!” she began. “You know there is nothing I love more than celebrating the holidays with my festive Christmas show, but I have to take my doctor’s orders and rest until he says I can sing on stage.”

Mariah, 47, continued, “Until then, unfortunately, I have to cancel the first several shows of my upcoming Christmas tour. I’m going to do all that I can so that I can see you soon.”

The “All I Want For Christma Is You” singer was originally supposed to kick off her tour on Friday, Nov. 17 in Ontario, but according to her website, she will now pick up on Monday, Nov. 27 at the Beacon Theatre in NYC. Honestly, we’re thinking about getting front row seats to the show!

But, don’t worry. If you’re looking for that dose of Mariah’s Christmas tunes, you can check out her new animated movie, All I Want For Christmas Is You, which became available on DVD, Blue-ray, and Digital Tuesday, Nov. 14. The mom-of-two has been promoting the film via Instagram over the past few weeks. “I’m so excited for you to see my new animated film,” she wrote on the social media platform.

The story is about a little girl named Mariah (yes, Mariah voices her as well), who wants a dog for Christmas so badly. Her parents allow her to babysit her uncle’s rowdy dog to see if she would be able to take care of one herself. The movie features a new original song performed by Mariah as well as three of her classic Christmas songs. We can’t wait to watch!
