Poor Maksim Chmerkovskiy!
The 37-year-old Dancing With the Stars pro is injured and can't compete in week two of the hit reality competition, Maks revealed on Good Morning America on Monday, March 27.
"It's my calf muscle. F—k. It just feels like something hit it," the dancer said during rehearsal footage after suffering his injury.
Though Maks won't be dancing with his Season 24 partner, Heather Morris, on tonight's new DWTS episode, he will still be in the ballroom to cheer on the former Glee star as she performs with stand-in pro Alan Bersten.
Later on Monday, Maksim — who recently welcomed his first baby, son Shai, with his DWTS pro fiancée, Peta Murgatroyd — took to Instagram to speak out about his injury.
"Sorry I was MIA. Tune in to Dancing With the Stars today and all will be explained. Tough show for #TeamMaksimumHeat and [Heather] would have to hold it down for both of us. Please show her your love and support while I work on getting my [butt] back to the ballroom. #DidNotSeeThisComing #WillBeBackBetterThanEver," he captioned a photo of himself hugging Heather.
"Praying for a speedy recovery," one of Maksim's 692,000 Instagram followers wrote with another adding, "Sad to hear one of my favorite dancers was injured."
Earlier this month, Maksim revealed he and his love, Peta, 30, recently had to take their baby son to the emergency room after Shai suddenly came down with a high fever. "We were so like not prepared for the protocol [and] procedure that happened at the emergency rooms with infants that small. Nobody really ever told us anything about that," Maks told ABC News.
"It was a big shock to the mind and to the heart. You start to see a little IV on a little baby and you're like, 'Oh my God, this is crazy.' And then we had to travel and fly back to LA after this just happened. It was a lot for us," he added.
