Jon Hamm recently completed a 30-day rehab stint at a treatment facility for alcohol abuse, a spokesperson for the Mad Men actor confirmed in the early morning of Wednesday, March 25.

“With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction. They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward,” the 44-year-old star’s rep revealed in a statement.

Jon’s stay in a treatment facility comes just before the premiere of the final season of ‘Mad Men’ this spring. The actor has starred as Don Draper, a troubled advertising executive with his own drinking problem, on the popular AMC show since 2007.

In a 2013 interview, Jon — who has been dating Westfeldt since 1997 — previously opened up about the pressures of fame and the challenges of playing such a dark character on the small screen.

“Our names tend to come with something attached — an audience and an expectation, and I guess a price tag. The challenge is to choose the right things to do,” he said.

“I’m not that methody [in my acting]. I am very cognizant that I am playing a character. Don Draper is a pretty dismal, despicable guy, so why I would want to take him home with me I don’t know,” he told ‘The Observer.’
