A ‘Little House on the Prairie’ Movie is in the Works — Plus See the Original Show’s Cast Then and Now!

Attention all Little House on the Prairie fans!

According to [The Hollywood Reporter](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/little-house-prairie-movie-lands-859422?facebook20160126)_, a movie based on the hit NBC show — which ran from 1974 to 1983 and told the story of a family living on a Minnesota farm during the late 1800s — is in the works at Paramount Pictures.

The TV series — loosely based on Laura Ingalls Wilder‘s best-selling Little House children’s books — starred Melissa Gilbert as Laura Ingalls Wilder, Karen Grassle as Caroline Ingalls, Alison Arngrim as Nellie Oleson and the late Michael Landon as Charles Ingalls.

No further details on the upcoming Little House on the Prairie film have been released at this time.
