After sharing details of her own personal experience, Lisa Kudrow wants you to know that it’s OK to feel insecure and uncomfortable in your own body. The beloved actress — who is best known for playing the fun-loving and spunky character of Phoebe Buffay on Friends — recently admitted that she used to struggle with body image.

“You see yourself on TV and it’s that, ‘Oh, my God, I’m just a mountain of a girl,'” the 55-year-old recently confessed in a candid interview with standup comedian Marc Maron on his WTF podcast. Lisa even opened up to him about comparing herself to costars Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston. “I’m already bigger than [them] — bigger, like my bones feel bigger. I just felt like this mountain of a woman next to them.”

The Booksmart actress said that, at the time, her health was quickly going downhill. “Unfortunately for a woman, if you’re underweight, you look good. And that’s all I ever got,” she told the host. “When I was too thin, I was sick all the time. A cold, sinus infection… I was always sick.”

Although insecurity can come and go, Lisa explained that she has a much easier time accepting her body now. “I have a whole battle all the time,” The Comeback star said. “I end up with, ‘So what? So, alright. You’re older. That’s a good thing. Why is that a bad thing?’”

The iconic television series may have ended about 15 years ago, but Lisa, Jennifer and Courteney have maintained a close relationship. In fact, the Cougar Town actress revealed in March 2018, that the former costars actually keep in contact with each other through a group text message chat.

“Lisa, Jennifer and I all have a text chain, but to me, it’s too much pressure. I’m not into the group text chain. I really don’t like it!” Courteney, 54, hilariously shared with Us Weekly. “And then you have something funny to say and you say it but then you send the text and they don’t get it.” Lisa added, “It’s a lot.”

We love this trio’s friendship!
