When it comes to acting, Leslie Mann‘s 20-year-old daughter, Maude Apatow, thinks that she knows everything! In a new interview with Us Weekly, Leslie said that Maude never comes to her for career advice even though she was nominated for a Critics Choice Award in 2013 for This Is 40.

“She doesn’t really listen to me,” Leslie, 46, admitted about her know-it-all daughter. “I try, but she doesn’t listen.” However, without her mom’s expert advice, Leslie seems to have made a name in Hollywood for herself that’s not “Leslie Mann’s daughter.”

Maude has acted in Knocked Up, Girls, Euphoria, and This Is 40. Leslie’s youngest daughter, Iris Apatow, 16, has also caught what the actress likes to call the “acting bug” and confessed that she doesn’t mind her two girls going into the same profession as her. “I feel like it’s a good profession. It’s been good for us,” she told ABC News, referring to herself and her husband, filmmaker Judd Apatow. “I like it. It’s hard work. but, yeah, I’m all for it if that’s what they want to do.”

Though Maude and Leslie have had different experiences in their careers, she wants her daughter to learn from her past mistakes. “It’s a little bit easier for them [because] when I started I was very poor and hungry and now my daughter Maude, whose 20, has a job as an actress but she’ll complain about things being hard, and I think, ‘It’s not hard. At least you have food in the refrigerator and nice sheets.’ You’re fine!” Leslie said.

And since Maude doesn’t need career advice, she still goes to her mom for beauty advice when she wants to learn some helpful tips. “Iris doesn’t really care what I have to say,” Leslie revealed about her daughter in a previous interview with Us Weekly. “Maude does a little more than Iris, and then I care what both of them have to say. That’s how it works!”
