Leonardo DiCaprio has friends in high places!

The 41-year-old actor had a private meeting with Pope Francis in Rome, Italy on Thursday, Jan. 28, a Vatican spokesperson confirmed to Us Weekly.

Though the representative did not reveal the exact purpose of Leo’s 15-minute chat with the pope, 79, it is likely they discussed climate change, an important cause to both the Titanic star and Pope Francis.

“The actor gave the pope a book of art from the Dutch Renaissance painter Hieronymus Bosch, and at the end of the encounter, [Leonardo] kissed the pope’s ring and, in Italian, thanked the Holy Father for meeting with him,” a Vatican spokesperson told Us Weekly of their encounter.
