Laura Dern Shuts Down Rumors She’s Dating Hollywood Heartthrob Bradley Cooper: ‘We’re Family’

A potential love storm seemed to be brewing between Laura Dern and Bradley Cooper, but the beloved actress insisted that the two are just friends. While attending the L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade culinary event on Saturday, September 14, the Big Little Lies star revealed while the two couldn’t be more close, their relationship is purely platonic.

“We’re amazing friends. We’re so lucky. And we’re family,” the 52-year-old beauty dished to Us Weekly at the Los Angeles event over the weekend. Although she was quick to shut down any speculation, Laura admitted that she didn’t blame fans for being so interested in their internet-fueled love affair.

“I mean, everybody’s always gonna comment about whatever seems intriguing, and he’s the greatest human, and one of my best friends in the world,” the Jurassic Park actress sweetly gushed of the A Star is Born actor. “So I don’t blame anyone for having deep curiosity about his life cause he’s spectacular.” Aww!

Rumors of a potential romance between Laura and Bradley, 44, first made headlines after the pair were spotted grabbing a bite to eat in New York City in mid-July. Although fans would be over the moon if the two got together, the Star Wars: The Last Jedi actress — who was previously married to ex-husband Ben Harper from 2005 to 2013 — proved she and Bradley are one of Hollywood’s most underrated friendships.

The speculation surrounding Laura and Bradley comes just months after The Hangover star split from his longtime girlfriend, Irina Shayk. Bradley and the supermodel stunner called it quits after four years together, a source confirmed to Closer Weekly at the time of the split in early June.

Prior to their breakup, multiple sources told In Touch Weekly that the A-list couple — who are currently working out how to share custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper — has been “on the verge of splitting for months.” Although the insiders insisted that Bradley and Irina “tried to make it work,” the reality is that they “both have busy lives and careers which has made the process very long and drawn out.”
