The cult series is set to return to the small screen next year in celebration of its 25th anniversary. It will air nine new episodes of the drama, which followed Agent Cooper as he investigated the murder of a small town’s homecoming queen.

Show creator, David Lynch, wrote via Twitter:

As for Kyle, he told reporters at the Showtime Television Critics Association presentation, “I’m very excited to return to the strange and wonderful world of ‘Twin Peaks.’ May the forest be with you,” referring to the series’ logging town setting.

When asked about the decision to bring the show back now, Showtime president, David Nevins, explained, “For David [Lynch], 25 years was the magic number. There’s a reference in the original, ‘I’ll see you [again] in 25 years.'”
