Every now and “Then” you find a celebrity pairing as loving as Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley. The couple is set to celebrate their oh-so-sweet 16th wedding anniversary in a few short days and, according to Kimberly, they have something special planned.
“We’re going to get away, [a] little getaway,” Kimberly, 47, exclusively told Closer Weekly at the world premiere of Netflix’s Triple Frontier in New York City on Sunday, March 3. “We’re going to to go to one of our favorite spots that we haven’t been [to] in a few years. Just a little bit of a drive and just [some] quiet time.”
The Father of the Bride star first began dating Brad, 46, back in 2001 and, in 2002, she appeared in the three-time Grammy winner’s music video for “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song).” After a nine-month engagement, the two married on March 15, 2003, at Stauffer Chapel on Pepperdine University’s Malibu, California campus.
Since they said “I do,” the pair have had two sons together: William Huckleberry “Huck” Paisley and Jasper Warren Paisley. Huck, now 12, was born on February 22, 2007, and Jasper, now 9, was born on April 17, 2009. Fast-forward to now and the kids have certainly grown up fast!
“They’re doing great,” the According to Jim star said when asked about her sons. “Huck just turned 12 and he’s just thriving and Jasper’s turning 10 in April. It’s great, we’re getting a lot of great family time.”
With teenage years right around the corner for their children, are Kimberly and Brad ready? “It’s not an issue at this point but, yeah, I’m turning to my friends who have teens for advice and some people say it just gets better and better,” Kimberly noted. “I find I can have really adult conversations with [them] right now so it’s awesome. We’re in that sweet spot.”
