Kevin Bacon Reveals Fatherhood Has Been His Proudest Accomplishment in His Life
If there’s one thing Kevin Bacon is proud of, it’s being a dad!
In a new exclusive interview with Closer Weekly, the actor gushed about fatherhood. “The proudest accomplishment of my life is my children,” the 58-year-old star confessed at the recent premiere of his Amazon series, I Love Dick. “Being a parent [means] bringing them up and trying to teach them and have them learn by example to be good, decent, compassionate, hardworking people.”
Kevin and his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, previously married in 1988 and are parents to a son, Travis, 27, and a daughter, Sosie, 25. Similar to their famous parents, the siblings are choosing a life of fame! Travis is a musician and Sosie is becoming an actress.

“We can talk about acting and the industry, and it’s really fun,” Kevin said about his relationship with his daughter. “It’s cool because we have this new line of communication.”
The Footloose actor, 58, has also previously revealed he and Kyra, 51, had a very special parenting style with Travis and Sosie that they attribute to their very strong bond with their kids today.
“We didn’t have the kind of relationship with our kids where we would say, ‘You’ve got to do this,'” Kevin said. “Our kids are very independent.” He added, “My son refused to let me teach him how to ride a bike or how to swim. Those are dangerous things! But both my children were a lot like me when I was a kid — they didn’t really come to us for advice or help.”

And after nearly three decades together, Kevin and Kyra are still happier than ever before! After their wedding anniversary last year, The Closer star wrote on social media, “Big love today and every day for 28 years.” Talk about a perfect family!
