Kelsey Grammer Reveals He Has a Tattoo of His Wife’s Name in a Private Spot to Prevent Him From Cheating

Well, at least he’s honest! During a candid new interview, Kelsey Grammer revealed he has his wife Kayte Walsh‘s name tattooed in a very private spot on his body to prevent him from ever cheating on her. 

While chatting with late night host Conan O’Brien on a recent Conan episode, the 63-year-old actor confessed his only tattoo is located “near the pubis” and it was his much-younger wife’s idea for him to get the ink. 

“It was more of sort of an ownership thing. My wife said, ‘Why don’t you get a tattoo?’ I guess it was sort of based on the idea that if ever I thought maybe a peccadillo outside the marriage was a good idea, that whoever might be… you know… [seeing] this particular piece of equipment [would see it] was already signed and owned by someone named Kayte,” Kelsey explained. 

This actually isn’t the first time that the Frasier star‘s tatt has made headlines. Back in 2012, tattoo artist James Eastwood told the Chicago Sun-Times that he had tattooed Kayte’s name in blue ink on Kelsey’s waistline while the actor’s wife stood by his side. 

“He’s the only famous person I’ve ever tattooed. He’s a pretty down-to-earth dude,” Eastwood said at the time, adding that Kelsey requested “something small because it was his first one” and the tattoo cost around $60. 

Kelsey and Kayte — who is 25 years the actor’s junior! — tied the knot in 2011 and are parents to three kids, Faith, 6, Gabriel, 4, and Auden, 1, together. The actor was also previously married to Doreen Alderman, Leigh-Anne Csuhany, and Camille Grammer, and is a father to four other children.
