She has it all! Not only does Kelly Ripa have an amazing marriage to her husband of 22 years, Mark Consuelos, a great job co-hosting Live with her friend Ryan Seacrest and three beautiful children, but the TV star also eats “whatever the hell I want.” OK, now we’re officially jealous of Kelly!

During a new interview with Bon Appétit magazine, the 48-year-old dished on her daily diet and revealed she doesn’t always stick to clean eating because life is, frankly, just too short not to indulge a little. “Here’s the thing: I’m 48. These are things at 38 I never would have tainted myself with. But at 48, I’m sort of saying, Who cares? Life is short. Eat the peanut butter and jelly,” she said.

Since peanut butter and jelly has been a known favorite snack of Kelly and her husband for a while now, her morning show staff recently surprised the cohost with the world’s largest PB&J cake for her 48th birthday this past October. “Mark and I used to have peanut butter and jelly as a bedtime snack. I’m not sure why. Even as a kid, I didn’t really like it, but now here I am,” she explained on-air. “I get ciabatta bread, and now I eat half a sandwich before bed, with chunky Skippy peanut butter or Justin’s honey peanut butter and Bonne Maman strawberry or raspberry jam.” Yum!

However, when Kelly first gets up in the morning she likes to put the PB&J aside to enjoy a cup of the “darkest roast coffee” that she can find. “It fills me up and I feel satiated, so it keeps me from being ravenous during the show,” she revealed, adding that a cup of joe is all she needs to start her day.

“I’ve tried eating once or twice before the show and it’s always been a disaster,” Kelly said. “It’s very, very hard to host a morning show when you’re digesting — my brain almost goes to sleep.”

Kelly doesn’t worry about how many carbs she consumes in a day either because her main aspiration is just to enjoy life. Even though some nutritionists claim Kelly’s favorite ThinkThin high protein bars are unhealthy, the mom-of-three said she’ll always dive into her bag to snack on them during her workday. “I like how they taste,” she confessed. Do you, Kelly!
