Kelly Ripa Takes Back Comment Husband Mark Conseuelos Is “Mean” to Her After Sex

Kelly Ripa was just kidding!

During a recent episode of Live!, in which her husband, Mark Consuelos guest co-hosted, the talk show host revealed her husband is mean to her after they have sex — and he didn’t deny it at the time!

“When there’s special married couple time in our house — do you know what I’m talking about? Because there are kids watching, so I’m just going to say, let’s call it special grownup time. He’s immediately mean to me afterward, and I don’t like that!” Kelly confessed during the show on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

To her surprise, the bold statement about the couple’s private life made major headlines. And now, she’s going back on what she originally said about her handsome hubby!

“Im sorry! I was joking,” the 46-year-old clarified during the show on Wednesday, Feb. 22 alongside Mark. “This is a funny, irreverent show. I didn’t realize that it would become trending news.”

Mark — who was red-faced and quiet during her original allegation — also revealed how he really felt about the incident. “I laughed,” he said after Kelly. “I didn’t refute it because I thought it was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard… I just wanted to set the record straight that no one can be mean after something if they are unconscious. I sleep.”

Kelly replied, “Maybe that’s what I meant. I didn’t really mean ‘mean.’ I meant completely disinterested, like sound asleep.”

“Now, he’s oddly attentive,” she continued. “There’s odd conversations, like, ‘Do you want to watch the Real Housewives? What do you want to do? Would you like pizza? Can I get you flowers?'”

“She’s not wrong,” Mark laughingly responded.

The celebrity couple first met 22 years ago on the set of the daytime soap opera All My Children in 1996. One year later, Kelly and Mark eloped in May 1996 in Las Vegas! The pair later welcomed three children together — son Michael, 19, daughter Lola, 15, and son Joaquin, 13.
