The best news ever! Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest will reunite in ABC’s New York City studio to film season 33 of their talk show, Live With Kelly and Ryan, which is set to premiere on September 7.

According to ENews! the pair will be joined by actress Hilary Swank and singer Brett Eldredge for a special holiday episode called “Live’s Labor Day Cookout.” Even though it’ll be filmed outside as Kelly, 49, and Ryan, 45, do cooking segments with executive producer Michael Gelman, they’re set to return to the studio the following day to film the rest of the season.

For the month of September, the duo have a bunch of celebrity guests lined up, including Jessica Alba, Jimmy Kimmel and the new Dancing With the Stars host and executive producer Tyra Banks. But that’s not all. In studio, Kelly and Ryan will also debut the new version of Live‘s daily trivia game as dancers from across America show off their moves at home.

The two besties, who went into quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic in mid-March, will be coming back to do the show in a way that it’s never been done before. “I’m not coming back if I have to wear pants or bottoms of any kind,” Kelly previously joked to Jimmy, 52, about returning to film Live in New York. “I like this from the waist up sort of thing that we’re doing. So I think we should build a studio that you can’t see what we’re wearing from the waist down.”

The All My Children alum has been social distancing with her family in the Caribbean as they waited for the pandemic to be over. Ryan, on the other hand, went back to L.A. with his then-girlfriend, Shayna Taylor, who he later broke up with in June 2020. “They remain good friends, each other’s biggest supporters and will always cherish their time together as a couple,” the American Idol host’s rep told People at the time.

Although the news was heartbreaking, Ryan still went back to work to finish shooting season 32 of Live With Kelly and Ryan. But now that’s over, we can’t wait to see what’ll come for season 33.
