What a struggle. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have been together for quite some time, but they still find themselves struggling to hold hands.

On Tuesday, February 18, Kelly, 49, took to her Instagram stories, to show a snippet of her relationship with her man, 48, by sharing just how the pair sometimes hold hands. In the photo, the Live With Kelly and Ryan cohost awkwardly bends her hand in what looks like a painful fashion simply to try and interlock her fingers with her longtime love.

“Handholding incompatibility,” the TV personality joked in the story, as she even added a gif of a Tyrannosaurus Rex attempting to grab a cookie from a jar. Take a look at the funny pic below!

The happy couple have been married since 1996. They share three kids —  Michael, 22, and Joaquin, 16, and daughter Lola, 18. And it should come as no surprise that the two are still together after all these years, especially when you learn just how much love they have for one another.

“I’m crazy about my wife,” the Riverdale actor once gushed to Fox News. “It’s nice to be married to your best friend. … She’s also really patient and really tolerant. I think that’s a big key to the success of our long [marriage]. We’ve been married forever!” However, the duo also credit their parents for their everlasting love, especially since their folks have never been divorced.

“We both come from families, our parents are still together,” he revealed to the outlet. “Family is super important to us. We have three great kids, and that also bonds you, having that experience together.” While they’ve been a team for over two decades now, they also of course are always in each other’s corner, and always defend one another when trolls come after them on social media.

“We don’t take anything seriously or to heart,” Mark explained. “Luckily, most of the people are great and we really don’t focus on the negative stuff. There’s too much positive stuff to focus on. If we do respond, it’s always with humor. My wife’s one of the funniest people I know.”

One thing is fore sure: this couple will always stick together — even if holding hands is an obstacle.
