It’s no secret Kelly Clarkson is one of the most talented singers in the game — and as it turns out, her net worth reflects just that. According to Celebrity Net Worth, The Voice coach is worth an estimated $45 million! That’s certainly enough dough to make anyone want to hit those high notes!
Question is, how does the 37-year-old powerhouse make all her money? Well, Kelly makes her fortune in a number of different ways. As mentioned, she has been a coach on the beloved singing competition from season 14 to season 17 and she brings in some serious bucks. Radar Online reported that Kelly is being paid about $14 million per season!
Why so much? Well, the new American Idol began airing the same year she joined The Voice and there was allegedly a bidding war for which show would get her on the cast. The Voice won out, so producers offered her the second-largest salary ever for it. Speaking of American Idol, Kelly was the first winner of the series and she has since gone on to put out eight studio albums.
In addition, the mother-of-two recently finished her 9th headlining concert tour — the Meaning of Life Tour — in the spring. She has accumulated over 17.5 million in the box office for her 28-date tour from January to March. Kelly has also raked in a number of accolades to solidify her status (and pay rate) as a pop legend, including three Grammy Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, four American Music Awards, and two Academy of Country Music Awards. Not too shabby, huh?
More recently, however, the music sensation premiered her very own TV series, The Kelly Clarkson Show, on Monday, September 9! “I love connecting with people, playing games, music and finding ways to help or give back to communities/organizations,” she said of the hour-long eponymous show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Having my own talk show where I get to do all of these things is pretty much a dream job!”
The series took over Steve Harvey‘s show Steve’s time slot and will be a lead-in to The Ellen DeGeneres Show. How exciting! We have no doubt Kelly will quickly become one of talk TV’s biggest (and most beloved) personalities.
Be sure to catch Kelly’s new talk show every weekday at 2 p.m. ET on NBC!
