Kelly and Brandon — who tied the knot in October 2013 during a romantic ceremony at Blackberry Farms in Walland, Tennessee — welcomed their first child, River Rose, on June 12, 2014. Look at that cute smile!

Kelly and Brandon’s brood got a little bigger once they welcomed their second child together, Remington Alexander, on April 12, 2016. The Voice judge announced her pregnancy while on stage, saying, “I would like to apologize to my husband. This was not planned. I’m just so hormonal. Everything is great, I haven’t vomited yet. That’s a win y’all.” Ha!

Besides being the mom to River and Remington, Kelly also took on the role of stepmom to her husband Brandon’s kids. While attending the American Music Awards in 2017, the “Since U Been Gone” singer hit the red carpet alongside River and her step-daughter, 17-year-old Savannah. Kelly is also the step-mom to Brandon’s son, 12-year-old Seth.

Getting as much time with her kids as she wants isn’t that easy for Kelly, who is constantly jet setting around the world for concerts and appearances. “I’m not going to be able to be there for everything, and that’s OK,” the brunette beauty admitted to Closer about how she overcomes mom guilt.

Being a good role model for her kids — especially her daughters — is a huge priority for Kelly. “It’s important for my girls, especially, to see me as a woman accomplishing all these things while nailing it as a mom. I always come back to that,” the “Because of You” songstress gushed to Closer. Kelly is so inspired by maternal instincts that she’s even penned the kids’ book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby in 2016, which was followed by 2017’s River Rose and the Magical Christmas. So inspiring!

Though Kelly has gained international fame and success through her singing career, the Texas native is crossing her fingers that her kids don’t follow in her famous footsteps. “I hope they are teachers or doctors or something,” she joked to reporters at a press conference after The Voice‘s Season 15 finale in December 2018. “I seriously hope they are tone deaf,” she quipped. Ha!

Though Kelly is pretty much obsessed with her kids, the Grammy Award-winner recently dished that her children aren’t that blown away by her A-list celeb status. “They do not care anymore. They’re not impressed,” she revealed to ET at CinemaCon earlier this month, adding that River is practically no longer phased. “She was like, ‘Mommy, you know when you’re on stage and you were singing?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, baby.’ I was thinking like a compliment was about to come,” Kelly explained. “She was like, ‘Yeah, I was really bored.'” Too funny!
