Keith Urban‘s father, Robert Urban, has sadly been placed in Hospice care, the country star revealed earlier this week.
“He’s probably only got a few weeks, if that. I’ve just been dealing with that the last couple of days,” Keith, 48, said of his ailing parent on Wednesday, Dec. 2 while visiting his Keith Urban So Far… exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

“This has all come at a very strange time where it’s typical of a career that has extreme highs and extreme lows all often at the exact same time,” the singer told The Tennessean. “So [the exhibit] is bittersweet a little bit because [my dad] is the catalyst for all of this. My dad is the catalyst for me living in America.”
“I want to thank Dad for starting me on this journey,” he added, referring to his successful music career, while tearfully browsing through his childhood memorabilia on display at the museum.

Keith’s wife, Nicole Kidman, 48, suddenly lost her father, Dr. Anthony Kidman, at age 76 last year after he suffered a fall in Singapore while reportedly visiting Nicole’s sister, Antonia, and her six children.
“They have truly been there for each other through thick and thin,” a friend of Keith’s previously told Closer of Keith and Nicole. “They have one of the most harmonious relationships in show business.”
