Sorry, guys. Keith Urban shared his thoughts about ABC’s upcoming American Idol reboot and hinted that he most likely won’t be reprising his role as a judge on the beloved singing competition series. According to the Aussie singer, 49, the panel will feature only fresh faces.

“I think it’s going to be all new people except for Ryan [Seacrest],” Keith — who served as a judge on AI for four years until it went off the air in 2016 — told Us Weekly at the Toronto International Film Festival opening of wife Nicole Kidman‘s film The Upside on Friday, Sept. 8.
As previously reported, Ryan, 42, confirmed his return as Idol’s host in July. The TV personality’s Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host, Kelly Ripa, helped him announce the big news on their morning show. “Ryan Seacrest is returning as the host of American Idol!” she said, to which Ryan added: “I am so excited. It’s gonna be the best time.”

Aside from Ryan, the only other celebrity who is set to join the revival is Katy Perry, who will serve as a judge. Though ABC has yet to officially announce anymore judges, a source previously told Us Weekly that Idol alum Chris Daughtry will be sitting alongside the “Swish Swish” singer, 32, on the panel.
Back in May, the 37-year-old rocker responded to speculation that he might be signing on to the show. “I don’t know [if I’ll be a judge in the revival]. I’ll say this, I’d be honored to do it. That’s all I’ll say,” Chris told Entertainment Tonight. “That show means a lot to me anyway. It was the reason that people even knew who I was in the first place, so it would kind of feel like a nice full-circle thing if I was actually on the other side of that.”
