Keanu Reeves Reveals He Had a Crush on Sandra Bullock When They Filmed ‘Speed’
Sparks on set! Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock worked together on the 1994 hit film Speed, but while the pair was focused on the work at hand, they also had quite the crush on each other.
The 54-year-old made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, May 17, and was shown a clip of his former costar, also 54, revealing that she used to like The Matrix star a lot. “Did you know that she had a crush on you?’ the comedian asked Keanu, to which he replied: “No. She obviously didn’t know that I had a crush on her, either.”
The audience was all cheers after the actor’s reveal. “I can’t believe you both had crushes on each other … and you were so scared,” Ellen said. “We were working!’ Keanu responded.
The John Wick star also had nothing but kind words to say about the time he spent with the actress. “It was nice to go to work,” he gushed. “She’s such a wonderful person, such a wonderful actress.” The Oscar winner recalled her butterflies with Keanu on set when she last appeared on Ellen.
“I think of how sweet Keanu was and how handsome he was,” she said during her December appearance. “It was hard for me to like, really be serious,” Sandra explained of costarring with Keanu. “Like, he would look at me and I’d be like [giggles]. And I’d have to try to, you know [be serious].”
However, Sandra also confirmed that she “Never dated him. “There’s just something about me that I guess he didn’t like!” she joked, adding, “But I think we’re probably friends for that long because we didn’t [date].”
We are just glad to hear that the pair were able to still remain close and continue with their bond after all of these years!
