Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant ‘Working With an Energy Healer’ for Upcoming Wedding Ceremony

Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant are set to tie the knot in 2025, according to a source who exclusively tells Closer they’ve got little interest in anything grand and instead want an intimate, highly spiritual affair that is being planned out to reflect their ultra-mellow lifestyle. 

“Keanu and Alexandra are completely on the same page when it comes to the wedding,” the insider says. “They want something peaceful and grounded with just their closest friends and family present.”

Both Keanu, 60, and Alexandra, 51, have largely kept their relationship private – something the Speed star has managed with most of his personal life. The artistic couple first met at a dinner party in 2009 and have since collaborated on a number of projects, including Ode to Happiness, a book the actor wrote and his now-fiancée illustrated. They partnered up again to work on the 2015 book, Shadows.

Unconfirmed relationship rumors surrounded the couple for years until they walked the red carpet hand in hand at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in November 2019, which was a rare display of PDA from the pair. Even now, the two share a mature, thoughtful relationship, something almost unique in Hollywood for the most part.

“The good news about falling in love as an adult is that I had built my own career by the time that my relationship had begun,” Alexandra said of their late-in-life romance. “I feel very confident in the relationship on the red carpet. I feel confident on it alone.”

The source notes that the Point Break star’s artsy partner has gotten him interested in all sorts of new practices. “They’ve been meditating together daily to set intentions for the ceremony, with Alexandra introducing Keanu to other woowoo practices, like crystal healing and sound baths.” 

While a date for the nuptials has yet to be confirmed, it’s unlikely to be a big shindig. “They’re planning for the wedding to take place outdoors, somewhere surrounded by nature, which is incredibly important to both of them,” the insider adds. Still, regardless of the setting, Keanu’s good friends, including his costar Sandra Bullock, will likely be attending.

“Sandra is so happy that he’s found love with Alexandra,” a second source previously told Closer. “She says she wants to help plan their wedding. Keanu jokes that Sandra should officiate, just marry them in her backyard.”

While a backyard may still be up for consideration, the first source says they’re still location hunting, but are “even considering locations in Sedona or Big Sur, where they can feel the energy of the landscape.” 

The couple has been taking some seemingly-odd, or at least unusual, steps to prepare for the big day, too. “They’re also working with an energy healer to prepare, who’s helping them clear any negativity and focus on gratitude and love,” the source says.

“Alexandra has been designing custom pieces of art to decorate the space, and they’re both working on personal vows. They’ve also started practicing tantric yoga together, it’s something that is deepening their connection, they really love it.”
