Katie Holmes is heading back to school to take a business course at Harvard University, the actress confirmed via Instagram on Thursday, June 1.

“I am so thankful and excited to be @HarvardHBS with so many brilliant people. #HarvardBusinessSchool,” the 38-year-old The Kennedys: After Camelot star captioned a pic of her desk’s nameplate.

Katie is enrolled in Harvard’s Business of Entertainment, Media and Sports program, taught by Professor Anita Elberse. Singer Shakira’s longtime partner, soccer player Gerard Piqué, is also reportedly taking the summer class!

According to People, the course “focuses on the unique challenges of developing, managing, and marketing a successful entertainment offering.”

After graduating from Ohio’s Notre Dame Academy high school — with a 4.0 GPA! — in the mid-1990s, Katie was accepted at NYC’s Columbia University but only attended for a summer session.

The future-star’s dad wanted her to be a doctor, but a young Katie had high-hopes of becoming an actress and model so she quit school and tried to make it in Hollywood instead!

Katie is far from the first celebrity to attend Harvard University. The Ivy League school boasts numerous high-profile alumni including Michelle Obama, Conan O’Brien, Matt Damon, Natalie Portman, and Rashida Jones, just to name a few!
