So sweet — literally! Katie Holmes and her 13-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, hit the New York City streets on Monday, June 17, looking cuter than ever. The 40-year-old beauty and her adorable mini-me satisfied their sweet tooth as they picked up some tasty treats — including an iced coffee, croissant and other pastries — while on their afternoon walk.

Ever since Katie stepped out alongside longtime boyfriend Jamie Foxx, at the 2019 Met Gala in early May, the Batman Begins actress has been glowing. “It’s like a huge weight’s been lifted, and that’s reflecting itself in all aspects of Katie’s life,” an insider exclusively revealed to Closer Weekly. “She’s got a spring in her step, is constantly smiling and feels emboldened to wear prettier, more fashionable outfits as opposed to the dowdy and downbeat choices she was making before.” Aww!

Katie and Suri looked cute and casual during their afternoon outing in New York City. The adorable duo stopped in for a variety of delicious treats with the teen snacking on a plain croissant while her famous mama carried a small bag of to-go items.

The Dawson’s Creek alum donned a super cute black and white patterned midi-length skirt paired with a plain white T-shirt. Katie tied the look together with a red leather purse, brown sandals and cute designer sunglasses. She is always so chic!

Suri looked just as fashionable in a trendy tie-dye tank top paired with grey leggings. The sweet youngster — who Katie shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise — topped the look off with a matching pink cardigan as she sipped on her iced coffee. Suri also wore a pair of super cute pink sneakers!

Katie and Suri were all smiles as they chatted during their leisurely walk. Although the brunette beauty can give her daughter anything she wants, a source close to Katie dished that she is raising Suri to be humble and kind.

“Suri is a great kid,” the insider, who has worked with the mom of one, told Us Weekly in April. “She is so sweet and well-mannered. She’s extremely polite and respectful. She’s just a good girl who is a joy to be around. Katie has done things right with her because she’s very grounded and down to earth. She doesn’t come across as spoiled or like a celebrity kid at all. She’s kind and she always shows gratitude.”

It’s no surprise that Katie is one of Hollywood’s most doting mamas. In March 2017, the First Daughter actress opened up about prioritizing her busy schedule.

“My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now,” Katie revealed to Town & Country at the time. “It’s very important that I’m present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there’s nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed.” Aww!
