About a year after Katie finalized her divorce from ex-husband Tom Cruise, rumors started running rampant that she was dating Jamie after the two were reportedly spotted dancing together at a charity benefit in August 2013.

But in October 2013, Jamie denied that he was dating Katie by telling Entertainment Tonight the rumors were “100 percent not true.” Hmmm…

Then, according to E! News, one of Jamie’s friends, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan, seemingly confirmed the actor was dating Katie while speaking on the Allegedly podcast in June 2016. “He is very happy with her. I like that he seems very happy,” Jordan revealed.

A few months later on New Year’s Eve 2016, Jamie and Katie were reportedly spotted celebrating the holiday together in Miami. At the time, a source told Us Weekly the two were “very serious.”

In April 2017, a source told Us Weekly that Katie was finally ready to take her relationship with Jamie public. “She used to be super worried about public attention. Katie is tired of playing the hiding game,” the insider shared.
