Normally, Katie Couric would be on her honeymoon right now having just tied the knot on Saturday, but the Yahoo News anchor admits she's too busy to take time off!

The newlywed is already scheduled to appear at the Aspen Ideas Festival in Colorado this week — which hubby John Molner will accompany her to — but the 57-year-old won't have much time for romance.

Last month, Katie told talk show host Wendy Williams the pair won't be able to squeeze in a real honeymoon until December, for which they're eyeing New Zealand as a possible locale.

"I've never been there and it's always been on my bucket list," the mom-of-two shared.

The journalist also revealed her intimate affair on June 21 isn't the last of the couple's wedding celebrations. "A big blowout party" will take place in the fall "where we'll be dancing," she shared.

But an eyewitness tells Closer the pair's smaller reception for 50 friends and family provided plenty of fun for all invited.

"Guests were bused from Katie's East Hampton estate to the reception location at Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton," the witness says.

Pre-dinner cocktails were held on the lawn but the festivities "went well into the night with guests still seated for dinner, dessert, and speeches after 11 p.m.," the eyewitness tells Closer.
