After nearly 40 years of working in television, Katie Couric's career is still going strong! In fact, the 61-year-old's newest show, a docuseries titled America Inside Out, is set to premiere on the National Geographic Channel on Wednesday, April 11. During the program's six, one-hour episodes, Katie goes on a road trip across the US to chat with citizens about tough topics including religion, race, and the nation's current political climate.

"I’ve been feeling very anxious these days. These are very tense times. We all seem to be in a bubble, often working, living, and socializing with people who are just like us. It has weakened our empathy muscle," Katie told AARP The Magazine in a new interview. "We all want to be valued and productive, and we only want the best for our families. We all want to be heard. Now, all we have to do is listen."

Katie previously posted a trailer for America Inside Out on her YouTube channel in mid-January and gave fans more details about her latest TV project. "So excited to share the first trailer for my upcoming series America Inside Out on National Geographic! For the past six months, I’ve traveled throughout the country, talking with all kinds of people about some of the most divisive topics of our time. The six-part series will premiere on April 11 and I can’t wait for you all to watch and come on the journey with me. #AmericaInsideOut," she wrote at the time.

So besides her new show, what else is Katie doing now? Since the mom-of-two left her job as Yahoo! News' Global Anchor in June 2017, Katie has been busy growing her production company, Katie Couric Media. She also recently returned to NBC — she was previously a Today show anchor for 15 years from 1991 until 2006 — to cover the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. We can't wait to watch Katie's new National Geographic Channel show on April 11!
