Kathy Bates Looks Different in New Photos After Losing 60 Pounds

Quite the change! After revealing that she recently lost 60 pounds, actress Kathy Bates roamed the streets of West Hollywood on Wednesday, January 30 looking, frankly, unrecognizable.

The 70-year-old was all smiles as she was spotted out for dinner at Craig’s Restaurant sporting a new pixie haircut and much darker tresses. The Misery star also showcased her slim figure while wearing a pinstripe blazer, navy-colored slacks and some leather loafers. Kathy additionally rocked some black-rimmed glasses. Back on January 15, the Oscar winner told Us Weekly what it took to shed the weight.

“Mindfulness, just knowing when to push my plate away,” she told the outlet while at WebMD’s Health Heroes event in New York City. “My niece told me this little secret, I guess it’s no secret, it’s a biological thing, that at some point when you’re eating, you have this involuntary sigh and that’s really your brain and your stomach communicating that you’ve had enough. The trick is to pay attention to that and push your plate away.”
