She’s doing just fine! On Thursday, Sept. 6, Kathie Lee Gifford opened up on the Today show about being body-shamed online and said that she’s through with people telling her that she looks “too skinny” because, at age 65, she’s actually never been more healthy and felt more happy.

“So many people have been writing [to me] and saying that ‘you’re so skinny now,'” she shared with her co-host Hoda Kotb. “I think I’ll just put it out there. I am so happy, I am beyond thrilled to be so fit, so healthy, so happy, and so hopeful, sue me!”

“I’m doing work 10 times what I did when I was in my 20s and if that’s upsetting to people, they have to look at themselves [and find out] why it’s upsetting to them,” she added. “My real people in my life, the people whose opinions actually matter are thrilled for me. Everyone else their opninion doesn’t matter.”

Hoda defended her co-host and noted that Kathie Lee has lost weight simply due to her busy schedule. During a previous episode of Today, Kathie Lee said that she normally wakes up at 2 a.m. and doesn’t like to eat breakfast because she has to get to the studio before 8 a.m.

“I don’t like breakfast because I get up and I get in the car,” she said. “I don’t usually have breakfast until I get here at 7:30. Usually its Quaker Oats oatmeal with a tablespoon of peanut butter. Probably not the healthiest, but it works for me.”

Then, before she can pick out her on-air outfit, Kathie Lee explained that she has to call Hoda! “First of all, I have to check to see what Hoda woman’s wearing first so that we can complement one another,” she shared and by 9:53 a.m., she’s ready to go!
