Not a good look, Katherine Heigl! The 39-year-old actress took to Instagram on Sunday, June 24 to apologize for what some fans considered to be some very "disrespectful" photographs.

In several posts that have since been deleted, the former Grey’s Anatomy star shared snapshots of herself posing with headstones at a cemetery in Buffalo, NY. Granted, some of the headstones belonged to her relatives, but still, the photos were not received well — to say the least.

According to Us Weekly, the mother-of-three posed with a headstone belonging to her late brother, Jason, who died in a car crash at 16 years old, as well as her grandparents, Reinhold and Margaretta Engelhardt. "I noticed on my Instagram page that the post I posted earlier was getting a lot of reaction, and I realized you guys are right," Katherine began her apology video. "It was not appropriate and it was disrespectful and I’ve taken it down."

"It’s kind of a heavy thing to go and visit my loved ones’ graves, and I decided to find some moments of levity and humor and didn’t realize how inappropriate I was being," the 27 Dresses actress continued.

"I deeply apologize and I thank you guys for understanding that sometimes I don’t think things through clearly enough and I am grateful for your input and for giving me a heads up when I’m maybe going too far. And thank you for forgiving me. Next time I will be more thoughtful about other people’s feelings and not just my own," Katherine expressed.

Well said, Katherine! Celebrities are human, after all. Thankfully, her fans have seemingly forgiven her. "This was really mature and amazing," one user commented on Instagram. "Such a classy lady! This is why I love you," wrote another.
