When Kate Winslet married her third husband Ned Rocknroll last year, the press had a field day over the entrepreneur’s unusual last name.

So when Winslet revealed she was pregnant with baby #3, speculation over whether the little one would take daddy’s last name ran rampant, to the actress' dismay.

“We haven’t ever really had that conversation; it was always going to have my name,” Winslet says, of son Bear born on Dec. 7.

“Of course we’re not going to call it Rocknroll. People might judge all they like, but I’m a f—— grown-up.”

And the actress would like to point out that her children from two previous marriages, Mia, 13, and Joe, 10, “have [Winslet] as part of their name, so it would be weird if this baby didn’t.”

Throughout this pregnancy, Winslet says she was baffled by the amount of opinion people had over her personal life.

“No one has a right to comment on anyone’s life or the choices I do or don’t make. It’s very easy to be judgmental until you know someone’s truth. People have no idea at all,” Winslet says.

“It baffles me, truly, that you can publicly treat a person like that. It’s not very nice.”

She adds, “I’m really sorry to the nation’s press that I fell in love and got pregnant; I do apologize if you deem that irresponsible.”

In fact, it’s her mixed family that keeps Winslet grounded in an industry that makes for easy derailment.

“The reality is I absolutely love my little life … I trundle along; we have friends over; I make dinner,” she says.

“Sure, I could have lots of people who do the cooking, the driving, all that jazz — but I would be unhappy. I wouldn’t want my children raised that way.”

Winslet says she is completely focused on providing her kids with a “childhood like I had, where you climb trees and graze your knee.”

And knowing all too well Hollywood’s obsession with weight-loss after baby, Winslet already has a reply to any criticizers of her post-pregnancy bod.

“Having just had a baby, I’m not going to be thinking about my arse,” she admits to Glamour U.K.
