The Duchess of Cambridge is no stranger to wearing bright colors and, frankly, she looks gorgeous in every shade! But, earlier this week, Kate Middleton especially turned heads when she stepped out in a sunny yellow dress during her royal tour of Germany.
On Thursday, July 20, Kate and her handsome hubby, Prince William, embarked on another fun-filled day of sightseeing around Berlin, Germany. First, the royal couple visited a stem cell research lab and later in the day, Kate and William, both 35, adorably made pretzels and candies at an outdoor market.

However, it was the mom-of-two’s bespoke, yellow Jenny Packham dress that stole the show on the royal family’s second day of touring Germany. According to several outlets, the golden, jacquard, fit-and-flare frock paid a subtle homage to the yellow stripe in Germany’s flag. So cool!
Kate perfectly accessorized her sunny dress — seriously, doesn’t her ensemble just make you feel happy?! — with a cute pair of Monsoon espadrille wedges, a matching nude clutch, and simple jewelry. Eagle-eyed royal fans were also quick to notice Kate’s outfit included her favorite Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch, which was a gift from Prince William.

Though Kate rarely wears the color yellow, this isn’t the first time she’s donned the bright hue for a royal engagement. Back in July 2011, Prince George and Princess Charlotte‘s mom stepped out in a pale yellow dress while visiting Calgary, Canada. A year later, she sported an Emilia Wickstead frock for the Order of the Thistle ceremony in Scotland and wore a casual, golden dress during a tour of the Solomon Islands. In 2014, she was similarly photographed in a bright yellow dress during a royal your of Australia.
Perhaps Kate’s most famous yellow dress is the one she wore when she was first photographed with her newborn daughter, Charlotte, outisde St Mary’s Hospital in May 2015. The buttercup dress — adorned with a sweet floral pattern — was designed by Jenny Packham.
