Kate Middleton Was Reportedly ‘In Tears’ And ‘Quite Emotional’ Leading Up To Meghan Markle’s Wedding

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married this past May, it was an emotional time for everyone — but, apparently, especially so for Kate Middleton. According to the Daily Mail, the Duchess of Cambridge was reportedly “in tears” during the weeks leading up to Harry’s wedding because of Princess Charlotte‘s bridesmaids dress fitting.

Since Charlotte, 3, had her dress fitted shortly after Kate gave birth to her third royal baby, Prince Louis, in April, she was said to be “feeling quite emotional” at the time. And once she saw Charlotte wearing her adorable little dress, it was allegedly too much for Kate to handle.

Though Kate had a great time at Meghan’s wedding, she was reportedly feuding with the Duchess of Sussex in the days leading up to her happy ceremony, too. “Kate and Meghan are very different people. They don’t really get on,” a source recently told the Daily Mail. Not to mention that Kate has also reportedly been feeling unappreciated at Kensington Palace because of all the “special treatment” that Meghan has been getting.

According to Life & Style, Kate felt “snubbed” when Queen Elizabeth recently invited Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, to spend Christmas with the royal family. Apparently, Kate was bothered by the monarch’s decision because “Kate’s parents have never been asked to spend the holidays with the Queen,” a source said. “Instead, she and William have been forced to split their time between the Middletons and the royals, shuffling their children from household to household.”

“[Kate] understands that most of Meghan’s family is estranged from her and that this was a kind gesture, but it still hasn’t stopped her from thinking that Prince Harry’s wife has got it easy,” the insider added.

It also didn’t make things easier when The Sun recently reported that Harry and Meghan wanted to move out from Kensington Palace and away from Kate and Prince William. “The initial plan was for Harry and Meghan to move out of their cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace and into one of the main apartments. But there has been a bit of tension between the brothers. Now Harry and Meghan don’t want to live next to William and Kate and want to strike out on their own,” the source said. Hopefully, they all work out their drama soon!
