Duchess Kate Thinks It’s ‘Incredibly Important’ for Her Kids to Be ‘Passionate’ About Sports
Staying active! Kate Middleton knows her children will grow up quite different than other kids, but she still wants them to be all about sports!
“[Prince George] and [Princess Charlotte] take after their parents, as in they’re both passionate about sports,” an insider exclusively tells Closer Weekly. “Kate thinks it’s incredibly important for her kids to be active and love the outdoors, and is so happy that they’re so passionate about sports.” Aside from their two eldest children, The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William also have another son, Prince Louis. And it seems like their little ones are truly getting into sports — as they’ve found an interest in tennis.
“Kate’s always been a keen tennis player — she grew up playing with [sister] Pippa [Middleton] and loves going to Wimbledon, but wants to improve her game, which is why she’s taking lessons,” another source exclusively shared with Closer. “This year, George started having tennis lessons too, and loves the sport. He’s asked for a new tennis racket for Christmas. Charlotte will start tennis lessons next year, and has already been practicing hitting balls with Kate.”
It should also come as no surprise that Kate wants her little ones to just have a normal upbringing. “Kate and William put a lot of emphasis on doing normal things together,” a friend exclusively told Closer. “They just want their kids to be kids.” The royal pair also make sure to make their children feel like they are not different.
“At the weekend, they’ll all sit down and watch cartoons together,” the close pal shared. “There are also treat days where George, Charlotte and Louis are allowed candy or a trip to McDonald’s. … They also “love decorating cakes. By the end of it, the kitchen is a complete mess and the kids will be covered in icing.”
It is very clear that the royals will do everything in their power for their kids to have one special childhood.
