New Photos!Kate Middleton Gets Real About the Struggles of Parenthood During Outing to Launch New National Helpline

Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton just stepped out for a very important cause! The 37-year-old royal made her latest public appearance in Lewisham, England on Tuesday, January 22 to visit the Family Action charity and launch a new national helpline called FamilyLine that provides a telephone line, email and text message service for anyone struggling with their family and home life.

According to E! News, Kate also candidly spoke out about her own parenting struggles — she shares three kids, son Prince George, 5, daughter Princess Charlotte, 3, and son Prince Louis, 9 months, with husband Prince William — during the charity visit.

“Everybody experiences the same struggle. You get a lot of support with the baby years … particularly in the early days up to the age of about one, but after that there isn’t a huge amount — lots of books to read,” she told volunteers during a FamilyLine meeting.

A volunteer at the event also spoke out about how much Kate’s support of Family Action means to others. “Why she’s a great supporter of our service is that she does recognize that families have the same pressures and struggles and she’s no exception. She may have slightly different circumstances to the rest of us but, you know, being a parent is being a parent,” the royal fan shared.
