How perfect is that?! Kate Middleton gave birth to her third royal baby — it's a boy! — on Monday, April 23. And, not only is it the newest Cambridge's birthday, but today is also St. George's Day. The annual holiday celebrates the patron saint of England's feast day, so it's a very patriotic occasion for Brits. And, just to make the day even cuter, the new baby's older brother is aptly named Prince George!
"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well," the official Buckingham Palace birth statement read. "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry, and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news." The baby's name has not been released at this time.
Though royal fans have yet to get a glimpse of the new prince, the baby's older siblings, George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2, were photographed arriving at London's St. Mary's Hospital with dad Prince William in the evening of April 23. In the adorable pictures, Charlotte could be seen enthusiastically waving to the crowd beside her brother, who was dressed in his school uniform.
This spring is an especially busy time for the royal family. Kate and William welcomed their third baby, Queen Elizabeth celebrated her 92nd birthday on April 21, Kate and William will ring in their seventh wedding anniversary on April 29, and Charlotte will turn three years old on May 2. Oh, and there's a little royal wedding happening between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19 — have you heard that news?!
