Juggling motherhood and personal interests can be difficult, even for Kate Middleton! The Duchess of Cambridge has two little ones running around the house — and a third on the way — and she’s found that her love of sports has taken a backseat. “I love tennis. I think it’s a great sport, I was really sporty when I was little, less so now that I’ve got lots of babies!” Kate said, giving her growing baby bump a little pat, while attending a tennis event on Wednesday, Jan. 17.

With four-year-old Prince George and two-year-old Princess Charlotte getting more active with school and their own extracurricular activities, the pregnant mom certainly has her hands full! Luckily, Kate has made time to attend tennis-related events — and she’s often seen in the crowd during Wimbledon. “Every time Wimbledon is on I am thinking, ‘Yes, I could do the same’ and get out the racket. Sadly, never the same results,” she once joked.

Although Kate hasn’t been able to practice her tennis-playing skills, it sounds like little Charlotte is taking after her mom! “She might not be three until May but they were convinced she’d love it and so far she has. She seems a bit of a natural.” a source told The Sun back in December 2017.

And even George is learning to play, but apparently is much more interested in hitting the ball really hard than the intricacies of the sport. “She says with George just being four he wants to whack a ball, so she was asking what sort of stuff should she be doing. They will struggle at that age to hit a ball. She said he’s interested in it, but more in whacking the ball,” LTA coach Sam Richardson revealed. Maybe when the kids get older, Kate will be able to play tennis with them!
