Duchess Kate Shares Sweet Family Throwback for the Holidays — And It’s Perfect
The holidays are all about family — and Kate Middleton is all about hers, as she shared a sweet photo of Prince William embracing their three kids.
In the pic — taken by the Duchess of Cambridge, 37 — William, also 37, kisses little Prince Louis, 1, on the cheek, while his eldest children, Prince George, 6, and Princess Charlotte, 4, smile alongside their royal dad. According to the Kensington Twitter, the snap was taken in the family’s home of Anmer Hall in Norfolk earlier this year.
People were loving the black-and-white photo, as they took to the comments section to respond. “This picture is everything, so memorable, a loving and adorable family, Merry Christmas,” one person said. Another added, “I just love this family … those gorgeous children! What a loving father William is … God bless them all.”
It should come as no surprise that the royals are all smiles — Kate and William made it a point to have the holidays be all about spending time with one another. “It’s not just their kids who are counting down the days until Christmas,” an insider exclusively told Closer Weekly recently. “After a stressful few weeks, William and Kate are really looking forward to having some quality family time.” The royal pair also went above and beyond to really make it feel like the best Christmas for their little ones.
“William and Kate have already got into the Christmas spirit,” the source continued. “They’ve bought two huge Christmas trees — one for Kensington Palace and another for Anmer Hall, where the family will be spending a majority of the holidays!”
The happy couple also understand the importance of bonding with their children, as they included the little royals in the decorating fun. “Louis is fascinated with the sparkly decorations and lights,” another insider told Closer exclusively. “Kate and William have made the trees child-proof so that he can’t pull them down, but when no one is looking, Charlotte and George sneakily eat the candy hanging from the branches. They think it’s hilarious but Kate knows. As it’s Christmas she lets them get away with having a few more sugary treats than usual.”
