Just like mom! While visiting the Scouts’ headquarters in London, England, on Thursday, March 28, Kate Middleton revealed that she would like Prince George and Princess Charlotte to take the route she did as a child and join the scouts!

“She said she would like them to go into the scouting community because she loves what it stands for — that it’s a very open and inclusive way into life,” 14-year-old Lauren Noble, who showed the Duchess of Cambridge around, said. She added, “She said it would be a great thing for them to get involved in … She said it was very impressive that they’d done so much at such a young age and how many skills they could learn.”

17-year-old Tahseen Patel also revealed that she spoke to the mother-of-three about different cultures. “She said she’d like to get her children involved and how you learn so many skills for life in the scouts,” Tahseen said. “I talked to her about the mosque and how important it is for religion and scouting to blend together and how we have to learn about each other’s religions and be united with each other.”

She added, “She emphasized how important it is to understand each other and learn about each other’s religion and cultures. She is really humble. I was nervous — we all were — but she was a normal humble human being. She made us feel comfortable.”

Prince William‘s wife, who was a Brownie girl scout as a young girl, seemed quite comfortable during her visit, perhaps thinking back to her past experiences. Kate took part in not only cleaning up an outside area, but also did some hand-painting on a tree marking the centenary of the scouting headquarters.

“She got fully involved with the hand painting, and ended up with a green hand,” Kameron Liddar, 16, said. “As a mum you can see she has the talents. She was very friendly with them and knew what to do with them. She wasn’t afraid to get a little bit grubby.”

We have a feeling that George, 5, and Charlotte, 3, will be all about being scouts, as Kate, while spending a day at King Henry’s Walk Garden in London on January 15, revealed that her kids are fans of the outdoors, saying that her two little ones would love “learning outside of the classroom, not inside. It’s still fun inside, but it’s much better outside.” Maybe Prince Louis will feel the same too!
