It’s almost time for Kate Middleton to deliver her much-awaited twins! The Duchess of Cambridge wants this delivery to be a tad different than her previous experiences with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Instead of giving birth to her daughters in a hospital, the 36-year-old mom-of-two wants to have a home birth in Kensington Palace.

Although Kate delivered George and Charlotte at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, “She’s decided she’d like to give birth at Kensington Palace, in the comfort of her own home,” a source recently told Life & Style. She’s managed to get her husband Prince William‘s approval, though he’s obviously concerned about her well-being. “Kate has been advised to go on bed rest now that she’s around the seven-month mark of her pregnancy,” the royals insider continued. Kate’s agreed if it proves necessary. “She joked that William can make her breakfast, lunch, and dinner in bed,” the insider added.

The royal is enjoying pregnancy thus far and is preparing the nursery for her princesses. “She is concerned that she and William will have their hands full once the girls arrive,” the source continued. That’s why the couple is getting all the nursery prep out of the way ASAP. “William and Kate have been busy working on the nursery which is very traditional and white. Kate wants the twins to have nothing but the best, so they are actually building a new nursery.”

The twins’ nursery will reside in Kensington’s Apartment 1A, where the couple currently lives. “It’s costing about $75,000 and will have the best toys and play structures,” the source revealed. Kate is set to give birth to her twins this April — she and William are so excited to welcome their two latest additions. “William can’t wait for the twins to be born,” the source said. “He’s a fantastic husband and extremely supportive of Kate.”
