How adorable is this?! When a little girl asked to touch Kate Middleton‘s perfect hair during the Duchess of Cambridge’s visit to Dundee, Scotland on Tuesday, January 29, the royal not only obliged but had the most perfect reaction to the fan’s unique request.

In photos captured of the cute moment, Kate, 37, was all smiles as the young royal fan sweetly caressed the mom-of-three’s signature bouncy blowout. During a previous interview, the Duchess’ wedding day hairstylist Richard Ward revealed just what makes Kate’s long locks so enviable. “It’s not just about Kate’s hair — it is beautifully finished, frizz-free, shiny hair. It’s a hairstyle that is well finished,” he told People.

Though Kate’s blowout has become her iconic ‘do over the years, she’s not afraid to switch up her look on occasion. Besides often pulling her hair back into chic ponytails and updos, Kate has also chopped her luscious locks before and, last summer, she even donated her hair to a charity that makes wigs for children going through cancer treatments after cutting it much shorter.
