This time around, Kate Middleton and Prince William will be just as surprised when their baby is born as the millions of royal fans around the world. That’s because they reportedly still have no idea what the gender of their third baby is — and will find out when the little one is born this month!

“William and Kate don’t know the sex of the baby so they’re rather looking forward to finding out,” an insider told E! News in March. “It’s very difficult to be totally prepared when you don’t know if it’s going to be a boy or a girl.”

Last fall, an insider told Us Weekly they are leaving the baby’s gender a surprise. “They’re going to leave it to surprise this time,” explained the source. “They’re taking each day as it comes. After you’ve had two children, the third usually feels like somewhat of a breeze so they’re just focused on Kate and the baby’s health right now. Everything else can wait.”

William and Kate aren’t too stressed about the baby’s gender because they already have one of each: a little girl, Princess Charlotte, 2, and their adorable son, Prince George, 4. And so it turns out, the siblings are very excited to welcome another brother or sister. Royal expert James McCourt exclusively told Closer Weekly that George couldn’t stop rubbing his mother’s belly after he found out she was pregnant. “He was too young to understand when Kate was pregnant with Charlotte, but this time he’s very excited,” he said. As for Charlotte? “She’s thrilled to be a big sister,” McCourt added. “And she looks out for Prince George, even though she’s the younger sibling.” According to Us Weekly, the kids have been asking “about the size of the baby and whether it’s a boy or a girl,” but their parents can’t give them an answer!

Luckily, Kate has been feeling much better after her battle with hyperemesis gravidarum, the condition that has made her super sick at the beginning of all of her pregnancies. Now, she’s on maternity leave, and a source told E! News she’s “resting.” They shared, “She’s earned this after such a strong uptick in work before taking her leave.”

On top of Kate feeling great today, she and William have also been surprisingly mellow throughout this whole experience. They don’t even want any extra help at home after adding a third child to their brood. “[They] don’t have any plans to hire a night nurse,” a source told Us. “At this point, they are extremely capable and confident in their parenting abilities and baby know-how. They’re absolute pros.” We can’t wait to meet the little boy or girl so soon!
