Kate Hudson is really looking forward to Mother's Day on Sunday.
The thing she's most excited about? "Bloody Marys!" reveals the 35-year-old. "Bloody Marys are my favorite things on the planet - my favorite cocktail on the planet. Any excuse for a Bloody! My mom likes her Bellinis, but I like my Bloody Marys."
The blonde bombshell is hosting famous mom Goldie Hawn and stepdad Kurt Russell for the holiday, plus "my brother and his family and my other brother and my other brother, all the brothers," the star shares of her many half, step and biological siblings.
But apart from the Bloody Marys, Kate is also thrilled for the opportunity to celebrate her mom!
"There's something about [her]," the Almost Famous star gushes."She’s very strong-minded, very tough and can be strict, but she's also so forgiving and non-judgmental."
When asked what the most important lesson her mother taught her is, the actress has trouble coming up with just one.
But if she had to pick: "[It] would probably be don’t take yourself too seriously!" she shares.
And now that Kate is a mother herself — she has son Ryder, 10, with ex-husband Chris Robinson and son Bingham, 3, with fiancé Matthew Bellamy — she admits to learning a few life lessons from her kids as well!
"They’re the biggest teachers!" exclaims the beauty. "My mother would tell me that [when I was younger] and I’d roll my eyes going, 'Yeah, OK' and then you become a parent and you’re like 'Oh...'
"For me, the biggest lesson I’ve learned from my kids is patience. I’ve always been very quick to [get frustrated]," Kate tells Haute Living.
That's when one of those Bloody Marys comes in hand!
