Kate Hudson labeled her family as “unconventional” during a recent appearance on The View, acknowledging her clan hasn’t developed in the most traditional way.

“I’ve got two children from two different fathers, so that’s unconventional,” the gorgeous blonde said, to which co-host Whoopi Goldberg responded, “Not in my neighborhood!”

“Or where I grew up either,” Kate concurred, referring to her Oscar-winning mom, Goldie Hawn, who had three children with two different men.

But when it comes to disciplining her two sons — Ryder, 10 (with ex-husband Chris Robinson) and Bingham, 3 (with fiancé Matthew Bellamy) — Kate takes a much more conservative approach!

“I’m a strict parent; I’m strict when it comes to manners. I think kids get too much too fast,” the 35-year-old shared. “Ryder wants a cell phone…He can get a pager, when he’s 12.”

When asked by The View ladies whether she plans on tying the knot with Matthew, whom she’s been with for four-and-a-half years, the Almost Famous star said, “I think this goes back to growing up in an unconventional family. We’re happy. We’ve got kids and a family” (Mom Goldie remains unmarried to partner of 31 years, Kurt Russell).

“We have to find time to have time together alone. I think if we do get married, it will be for the kids, actually,” she added.

The actress, who’s currently starring in the Zach Braff-directed film, Wish I Was Here, also revealed that despite her great shape, she still struggles to stay trim.

“I used to be able to eat whatever I wanted when I was younger, and then as I got older I saw that if I ate whatever I wanted, I wasn’t very healthy,” Kate shared.

“My mom was very much into telling me that I have to eat healthy and that I’m eating too many cheeseburgers.”
