Mom of three Kate Hudson is never afraid to own up to her own mistakes. The Almost Famous actress knows she doesn’t always make the best decisions when it comes to parenting her kids — Ryder, 15, Bingham, 8, and Rani, 1 — but she does do everything in her power to make sure they have a happy childhood.

“I make mistakes all the time. I’ve yelled at my kids too much, and I’ve also cursed in front of them, and I also haven’t shown up for things because I was out of town,” Kate, 40, explained to Women’s Health as their cover star for the December issue. “But at the same time, I have days where I’m like, ‘I’m a f–king supermom.’ I am cooking, cleaning, doing homework, changing diapers, I worked out.”

“What I’ve learned — and what I’m learning — is that I’m doing the best I can,” she added. Kate has been taking her kids on tons of fun vacations too.

“I go away with [them], usually to our ranch in Colorado,” she said. “I sit and look out at the mountains. My doctor says I should be going away on my own, but I’ll do that when my kids are a little bit older.”

The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star shares her children with three different men. She coparents Ryder with her ex-husband, Chris Robinson, Bingham with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy, and her only daughter, Rani, with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa.

“You’ve got to drop the ego. Some people meet, have kids, and end up not being able to figure it out,” she said about what coparenting is like today. However, Kate, Chris and Matt have been doing a great job raising their young ones together.

While she gets along just fine with her exes, Kate is happy to have Danny by her side to raise their baby.

“Having a newborn and going through the baby stage has definitely been a shock after such a long break,” an insider recently revealed to Us Weekly. “But Kate’s been loving this experience and getting to share it with Danny. He’s extremely hands-on, so it’s been a dream.”
