Mama’s back! Kate Hudson, who welcomed her third child, a baby girl named Rani Rose, in early October, made her first public appearance on Wednesday, Nov. 7 since giving birth — and she looked fabulous!

The 39-year-old was named World Food Programme Goodwill Ambassador and sat with designer Michael Kors at the University of California, LA to talk about the title. The fashion icon later threw Kate a dinner party with her closest friends and family.

For the one-on-one with Michael, Kate donned a navy blue, polka-dot dress. Her hair — which has grown out since she shaved her head for a movie role — was down in loose curls. For the get-together that evening, Kate wore a cap-sleeve, black sequin dress with a deep V-neck. For just having a little bundle of joy five weeks ago, the blonde beauty’s post-baby body is so impressive, if you ask us!

At the dinner, Kate was joined by her boyfriend and Rani’s father, Danny Fujikawa, her stepfather, Kurt Russell, and her eldest son, Ryder, 14, whom she previously welcomed with her first husband, Chris Robinson. Kate is also a mom to a son Bingham, 7, with her ex-fiancé, Matt Bellamy.

Kate and Danny previously announced their daughter’s birth on Oct. 2. “We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor,” the How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress said at the time. “Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back.”

Since then, a source revealed to People that she “can’t stop smiling.” They continued, “She’s always wanted a daughter so this is really a dream come true.” We’re so happy for her! Here’s hoping she brings Rani with her to her next public appearance.
