The 45-year-old actor served as a presenter at the 74th annual Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 8 — but left the award show early to be with his wife, Jennifer Aniston!

“I’m actually trying to get home,” Justin told [Entertainment Tonight](http://www.etonline.com/awards/206902exclusivejustintherouxrevealswherejenniferanistonwasduringgoldenglobes/)_ at HBO’s Golden Globes afterparty.

“I almost skipped this interview because I got my girl and some friends in their pajamas who have delayed the show an hour so I can get back and watch the end of it with them,” he added. How sweet!

During the Golden Globes, Justin presented the Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television award — alongside co-presenter Anna Kendrick! — to The Night Manager star Tom Hiddleston.

“It’s the first time I’ve come to the show and have not done the red carpet,” Justin said of the evening. “I just came to present, so I kind of did the dumb thing, where I just showed up to present, and you kind of get rushed into the back door.”

“And you’re not really prepared for the size of the event and all the energy in the room. So I kind of came in and was not prepared. There’s a benefit to walking and sitting down, having some food, and then continuing on,” he added.

Jen, 47, and Justin first became an item in May 2011 and later announced their engagement in August 2012. The couple tied the knot in August 2015 in a surprise ceremony at their Bel Air, CA home.

Prior to her marriage to Justin, the Friends star was hitched to Brad Pitt from 2000 until 2005. Like Justin, Brad similarly made a surprise appearance at the 2017 Golden Globes to present a segment highlighting one of the night’s Best Picture nominees, Moonlight.
