Justin Hartley excitedly shared the news that Tracker has been renewed for season 3 in a post on his Instagram.

Justin, 48, was seen in the video holding a walkie talkie, as the cast and crew of the show gathered around him on the set.

“Sharing some really great news today. Thank you all for watching us. Because of the #trackerbackers we get to make more of these @trackercbs episodes. Here we go!!” the This Is Us alum captioned the post.

In the clip, he thanked his coworkers for helping propel the show to success ahead of filming season 3.

“I just wanted to congratulate everyone on season 2; our numbers are up from season 1. Something like six percent or eight percent or 11 percent or something like that. That hardly ever happens,” he said in the video, which earned applause from the cast and crew around him. “It’s all thanks to you guys, and because of all the hard work you’ve done on season 2, they have picked us up for season 3. They didn’t give us information as far as like the number of episodes, but it’s somewhere between 18 and 22, so that’s pretty good.”

“And also, I just want to say thank you because this show doesn’t have a season 2 without you,” Justin concluded. “This show doesn’t have a successful season 1 without you. This show certainly doesn’t have a season 3 without you, so thank you for all your hard work and dedication and effort and time and for just being badass, lovely, nice, human beings that are talented, so thank you.”

Tracker has dominated the CBS ratings, earning 8.3M Live+Same Day linear viewers during its October 13 season 2 premiere, per Deadline. In December 2024, Variety released its list of 100 Most-Watched Telecasts of 2024. Out of 100 spots on the list, 15 of them belonged to Tracker episodes. It seemed like a no-brainer to renew the show for a third season after its steady viewership.

“This season, our new and returning series continue to showcase CBS as the leader in launching and programming the biggest hits with mass appeal for broadcast and streaming viewers,” Amy Reisenbach, President of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement about CBS’ renewals for the 2025-2026 broadcast season. “These returning shows represent a mix of long-standing hits and a new generation of fan favorites. In collaboration with our extraordinarily talented partners in front of and behind the camera, we look forward to delivering another successful season.”

While no official premiere date has been set for season 3 just yet, fans already can’t wait to see what big mysteries season 3 will bring.

“It is a really redeeming show, fighting the bad… looking for justice and finding the lost… and always teaching us something along the way!” one person commented on Justin’s Instagram post.

“Congrats Justin! You have an amazing team there with you,” another said.

“Congrats on season 3. Looking forward to more of Tracker, I really love the show,” another person wrote.

Currently, Tracker is airing season 2 on CBS with new episodes on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET and streaming on Paramount+.
