Julia Roberts Poses With Her 3 Kids in Rare Family Photo Shared By Husband Danny Moder on Mother’s Day

Julia Roberts got a special shout-out from her husband, Danny Moder, on Mother’s Day! The cinematographer shared a rare photo of his wife with their three kids on Instagram on Sunday, May 11.

“Mothers make the coolest stuff. Love these guys,” Danny, 56, captioned the post

The photo featured Julia sitting in between her three children, twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, both 20, and son Henry, 17.

The Pretty Woman actress wore a red bomber jacket, white jeans, white socks with green stripes and a pair of sunglasses. The kids looked all grown up sitting beside her in the snapshot.

In the comments section, fans praised Julia, 57, for being such a great mom to her kids through her years of motherhood.

“You are such a special family – it’s visible, how different you do things. Very raw, real and inspiring! thank you for sharing this,” one person commented.

“What a beautiful family! Mother at the center of course, surrounded by love. As it should be,” another said.

While it is rare for fans to see a photo of all three of Julia’s kids on social media, she has opened up about being a mom of three plenty of times throughout her career.

She said that while her twins went off to college, she was still very involved in their lives.

“I wear the colors,” the Leave the World Behind actress said of supporting her kids’ schools during a December 2023 appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. “I do the whole thing.”

“Is Henry loving this? Or is he kind of missing his [siblings]?” host Jimmy Fallon asked.

“I think it’s a good 50/50 split,” Julia responded. “He’s loving it. And I think he misses his people.”

She previously opened up to Extra in April 2022 about Hazel and Phinnaeus leaving the nest to pursue higher education.

“I mean, it makes me a little lightheaded. You say that, I mean, I’m completely excited for them,” Julia admitted. “It’s really thrilling and I wasn’t lucky enough to have a college experience. And so to see how it’s happening for them is really fascinating. And yeah, I’m just, I’m excited for them.”

At the time, the family had been adjusting after their move to northern California.

“We always felt that we were kind of living outside of L.A. … I think the move has been great. I think moving with three teenagers during a pandemic is not for the faint of heart, but we have pulled it off and everyone seems good and happy,” Julia noted.

However, by October 2023, Julia and Danny sold the home for a little over $11 million, according to multiple outlets. An insider later told Closer that the couple were considering a move abroad.

“Julia and Danny had the most romantic trip last summer together, touring through the U.K. and France. That’s when the idea took hold,” the source said in February 2025. “Now, they’re taking the next steps and seriously looking at property. Julia loves Europe and the slower pace of life and so does Danny.”
